The Breath of the Forest
Deep within Whisperwood Forest stood an ancient oak, guarded as sacred by the druids. They believed that the ancient power of the forest rested among its roots.
Once a year, on the longest night, a tiny green light appeared near the tree’s bark.
The druids called it the breath of the forest.
One night, a druid captured the light inside a tiny glass vial, then wrapped it in leaves to preserve the forest’s power.
According to legend, the light has watched over those chosen by the forest ever since.
And when it glows in the darkness, perhaps the forest is reminding someone of something.
